the only really local place, i have been until today. small, decorated with Malian artifacts. a local group is playing, in the silence the voice of the kora gets you... no alcohol but tons of soft drinks made of different herbs. there is a small boutique next to the place where modern/local mixed artifacts can be found. enjoyed it more than any other place i had eaten.

next to Byblos. mushroom, onion, vegetable soups, pizza, beef, open-buffet salade is delicious. small bread's with tomatoes and garlic are more then delicious. wait until eating one and order a plate full of them. don't try the pool table, balls are mainly going to one way :-)

best open-air bar in town. never ate but the food must be good also. a big bar is positioned in the middle of the place. Malian, Senegalese, South African, French, American, Turkish, Russian, etc. you can find someone from every nationality... during the rainy season, you can get wet but i like that feeling also :-)

really hard to find but a beautiful place. menu is not too crowded, grab a beer and relax. under the palm trees, enjoy the pool and play beach-volley. much more beautiful than the European wanna be place's...

five star located beside Niger. one of the rare restaurant's which has a beautiful Niger view. small group playing soft-jazz at the lobby at nights. no word as it is a Kempinski :-)
